Misewell

Misewell modern furniture is founded by the Georgeson brothers based in Milwaukee in the US. Classic materials like steel and wood are crafted into well-made, pleasant and simple pieces meant to last in your home for generations. It's not surprising to see how they're the winners of the Editor's Award at the 2009 ICFF. You can find a short interview here at Dwell

Lockwood is a steel-bent chair that comes optional with a slip over felt padding back - so clever and simple! It's powder-coated in several options of colours. The 1/2 Nelson is its cafe table partner, equally lovely and honest with steel legs that interlock into timber base.

There's also the Eileen - a sexy lamp with a steel base and aluminium neck that can pivot. There's something very life-like about a piece of furniture like that that leans against the wall, creating a relationship literally with your space and not just in it.
