Hotel Basico

If I were ever to go to Mexico I'd stay at the Hotel Basico for sure. Located in Playa del Carmen and designed by interior designer Hector Galvan, this luxury boutique hotel takes industrial chic to a different plane. Exposed pipes curl thoughtfully on exposed white concrete walls and the roof top pools, made out of converted oil tanks are playful and ingenious and actually rather sexy given the entire composition.

I first saw the hotel in a wedding shoot here and I thought what a lovely space is is to have a casual but sophisticated and festive celebration.

One Year

Tomorrow is our one-year wedding anniversay and so i thought I'd post some pictures of when we went back to school to take our engagement photos. I might post more later. Looking at the pictures make me miss my wedding gown that I had custom-designed but did not buy. Ribbons and lace, and real buttons all the way down the back, things I love.
