This home in France, from CoolBoom, was built in two days by Atelier RVL Architectes. With a timber frame, timber cladding,infill materials of frosted glass and industrial metal mesh and a cement floor, the place reminds me of a beach retreat - relaxed and comfortable without being fancy. Simple materials can make a space lovely, given also the luxury of the double-volume space. Spaces like these provide an enchanting and graceful backdrop for your designer pieces. My favourite are the interior screens around the living room. They remind me of simple crates, the kind you'd find at a warehouse or market. That really adds to the simple language of the entire space.
