The local news reported that architecture firm Herzog and de Meuron were one of the contenders for the development of the old Capitol cinema plot. I really hope they get this. Designers for the VitraHaus, their public spaces are really quite lovely. When I was 19 I visited the Tate Modern in London and later on, the deYoung Museum in San Francisco, and both buildings were wonderful.
