History Buff
Yesterday we visited a new gallery in town - Vue Priveeset up by famed photographer Olivier Henry that sells 'affordable' art and attempts to merge art and photography. They sell photography as art, but also photography-inspired art, and art itself. Soon you can buy them online. Personally, I prefer the untainted versions - either art or photography, but I did like the selection there. Some of my favourites were these Japanese photographic watercolour-painted prints. There's so much to see in these photographs - the fact that these are real places, people...I wander what are going on in their minds? What happened in each of their lives?
oh and we spoke to Olivier himself and were pleasantly surprised to hear his local accent is so strong! somehow the lack of the foreign French accent made him alot more accessible.
