Italian designers Lucidi and Pevere have created a new lamp for Foscarini made of concrete called Aplomb. It actually looks light despite its material due to the upside-down funnel shape whose elegant slim end is emphasized by a black tube. Seen on Dezeen, this lamp reminds me of one of my current favourite table lamp designed by Benjamin Hubert called Heavy. I love the raw solidarity of the concrete mixed with the warmth of the wooden stand. The red cord is genius - making a deliberate but delightful feature out of something you normally want to hide from people.
