Insitu is an Australian furniture company with the hospitality and commercial sector as its target clients. They also feature a selection of nice items for the home from international as well as several Australian designers. I've selected some items to feature below that called out to my soul:
Hussl 'Forum' Chair by Design Arge 2 + Plank 'Monza' Chair by Konstantin Grcic: Stackable chairs can be boring when they look so...stackable. These timber chairs provide a more playful option and look so pretty even when they're stacked.
Alma Design 'Armacord' Lounge Chair by Nicola Cacco: The simple curves of the steel frame and wooden shell with the slim upholstery creates a contemporary feel for any living room without trying too hard.
Casamania 'Lea2' Chair-bed by C.S.C.: The husband and I have been looking around for a sofa/chair-bed for the longest time. This would be so perfect in our guest room. I love how the chair is held together with the elastic straps and chromed hooks that boldly expresses its other usage.
Casamania 'Railo' Magazine holder/ waste bin by Mikko Laakkonen: Made from three pieces of varnished metal, these come in mono or multi-colour. If it were me, I'd put a potted plant in it. I first saw this in the June 2010 issue of Inside Out Magazine - one of my resources for inspiring design.
