Roda
It's such a coincidence that I just wrote about Rodolfo Dordoni and the lamps and now I have found out that he was responsible for the in beautiful art direction of Roda in 2005 to promote its furniture. Looking at the images it's no surprise - Roda's concept of the 'Interior Garden', outdoor furniture that can be used indoors, is displayed poetically in a variety of settings that suggest this concept. Outdoor furniture tend to be geared towards a certain aesthetics in terms of materiality and form - a certain hardness because of the need for durability but the beauty of Roda's range of teak and woven products are that, they manage to provide a space with a sense of relaxed livability and accessibility while being sophisticated and contemporary. The harp chair with a metal frame and stretched cords, Lawrence lounge set and Flat Table with stone and ceramic top on a steel frame below are a few of my favourite.

Roda is available in Singapore at Cream
On a separate note, the Lawrence lounge draws some references from the classic butterfly chair (also know as the BKF chair) designed by Argentinian architect Jorge Ferrari Hardoy in 1938. I've wanted one of these since I saw this image from the desire to inspire website.
such a romantic mood.
