Old Tokyo - featuring postcards of places around Tokyo from the the earlier eras to post war. It's fascinating to find such pictures especially when you've been there yourself.

ginza! we walked down the streets frequently as our apartment was up the street + + +
A rare sight in ginza which is normally filled with tourists going in and out of the flagship store of Cartier and Louis Vuitton...it was new year's day and early in the morning. We had just witnessed cheer leaders lining the streets to cheer on runners whose route took them from the mountains of Hakone....and just a few days ago we saw the shops taking down the Christmas decorations and filling the windows with new displays and the next morning, Japanese flags filled the streets...this day we were on our way to take the train to see the Emperor wave at the palace at Maurinouchi...memories...just walking about the streets leisurely without a care in the world with the husband...
